We are currently taking applicants for the following position, for our new coal mining project:
DRILL & BLAST ENGINEER
(Assignment: Site Based)
Develop drill and blast designs, implement designs in conjunction with blasting sub-contractor and monitor drill and blast results, recommending changes where appropriate to ensure high quality, safe and cost effective drill and blasting activities, within a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
• Min. Bachelor degree in Mining, Civil Engineering or Geologist with Class II Blaster Certificate
• Min. 3 years previous experiences in drilling & blasting on Mine Sites (Coal Mining are preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of drill capabilities and applications (Bucyrus, Sandvik preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of explosive types, handling requirements and applications
• Demonstrated knowledge of blast pattern design and the impacts of pattern, hole dia., stemming, PF, etc
• Good general computer skills, including knowledge and use of drill & blast design software (eg Shotplus
• Understanding of regulations pertaining to explosives storage, handling and use, including reporting requirements and permitting (P1, P2 and P3)
• Able to lead and direct personnel related to drill and blast operations, including explosives handling
• An understanding of the operational and commercial impacts of blasting
• English language skills viewed favourably. Candidate must be will to improve English skills on the job
Responsibilities:
• Liaise Develop, recommend and implement suitable strategies to provide blasting solutions and optimise blasting performance.
• Analyse drill and blasting performance in conjunction with Mine Plans and predicted geology to forecast explosives consumption requirements
• Prepare explosives forecasts to be used to order and maintain explosive stocks on Site, taking into account delivery times, subcontract requirements and magazine storage
• Assist with the procurement of permits (inc sleep permits) required for drill and blasting activities, including collation of information for other parties as required
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule drill maintenance requirements to optimise equipment availability and minimise interuptions to blasting operations
• In a timely manner, design and optimise blast patterns, taking into account survey data, geological information, mine plans and schedules, past results, drill capacity, ground water, infrastructure, community, etc.; Obtain approval as required from all relevant parties
• Communicate blast designs and drilling sequences to operational personnel, including surveyors and pattern set out crews to ensure drill and blast operations proceed efficiently
• Coordinate operational and subcontract activities to ensure explosives charging and blasting operations proceed efficiently without delay to operations. Proactivley provide technical support to operations as required
• Analyze and communicate drilling and blasting issues to Mine and Planning engineers and mining operation in order to provide technical support to site based personnel
• Review drilling results and prepare charging information to optimise blasting and fragmentation, without risk to Coal
• Lead by example and ensure attitudes, decisions and work practices of the Drill and Blast Team (including subcontractors) meet or exceed the principles of the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan and Safety Procedures
DRILL & BLAST SUPERVISOR
(Assignment: Site Based)
Execute, monitor and control the drill and blast activities of the project in order to ensure that it is completed on time and to the total satisfaction of the client whilst achieving tender profit margins and meeting the safety and quality expectations of the company.
Requirements:
• Min. High School Graduate with Class Blaster Certificate.
• Min. 5 years previous experiences in drilling & blasting as a supervisor preferably.
• Understanding applications of drill blast design and shot plus software
• Familiar with designing drill and blast, leading the team and explosives handling
• Rotation to each site conducting drilling & blasting
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with client drill & blast engineer to plan drilling location.
• Liaise with client surveyor to make sure drilling location.
• Establish drill & blast design.v• Establish drill & blast environment treatment plan.
• Liaise with Production Shift Supervisor to prepare drill pad location.
• Ensure the job is done right the first time.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of shotfirer, tradesman and subordinates.
• Ensure exploder is maintained to blasting standards of safety and reliable.
• Ensure workforce is competent to conduct alloted tasks and work is conducted in safe and efficient manner. Monitor, check and examine all welding equipment in the field such as periodic maintenance schedule.
• Collect data of drilling and blasting include record details of drill pattern, location, hole location, blast time, explosive usage and blast result.
• Build long term relationships with clients by gaining an understanding of clients strategy and upcoming projects/opportunities and demontrasting Petrosea’s capacity to act as partner in helping clients achieve their strategic goals.
• Responsible for safety performance and conformance within the area of his control.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and performance counselling as required for all direct reports.
DRILLING FOREMAN
(Assignment: South Kalimantan)
Monitor and coordinate driller daily activities to ensure drill & blast work is performed in a technically correct and efficient manner, conform to company’s standard and policies.
Requirements:
• Min. High School Degree.
• Min. 3 years experiences in drill & blast area.
• Absolutely understand in mining drilling technique.
• Fully understand the function and has ability to operate drilling equipment.
• Understand to matters in accordance with mining environment structuring.
• Understand Health, Safety, and Environment principles.v• Proactive safety attitudes.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and supervise driller activities based on drilling design from supervisor, regarding tools requirement, sparepart, and consumable goods and also manpower planning in establishment, maintenance, and repairement of Site.
• Monitor, check and examine all welding equipment in the field such as periodic maintenance schedule.
• Support supervisor to make a drilling environment structuring.
• Liaise with Safety Officer to ensure windrow or danger sign had been placed in the danger area.
• Monitor and maintain Work Order (WO) to ensure Work Order information is processed in accordance with BMP.
• Monitor, check and examine all welding equipment in the field such as periodic maintenance schedule.v• Conduct formal annual performance review all direct reports, identifying strengths and weaknesses, training needs and agreeing upon goals for the future.
• Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages and Implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER
(Assignment: Site Based)
Monitor, control and analyse operation data, processes, procedures and performance, using established continuous improvement techniques in order to identify, prioritize and implement opportunity for improvement in mining project.
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Mining, Civil, Mechanical or Industrial .
• At least 2 years working experience in open cut mining operations.
• Strong computer skills, preference is competent using statistical software application such as MINITAB.
• Strong on analytical (multi variance data) skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Strong reporting and technical writing.
• Willing to be based at the company’s mine sites.
• Demonstrated ability to influence others and lead change.
Responsibilities:
• Promotion of HSE programmes targeting zero work related injuries and illnesses.
• Analysis of operational data (such as VHMS, PLM, VIMS, MIC, OpsDB, FMS and etc.) to determine performance or cost issues and work toward solution which can be delivered to the project.
• Work in a team and set up benchmarking criteria by which improvements can be measured.
• Develop and follow a specific method / discipline to measure the gap between current process capabilities with the project’s goals.
• Establish necessary systems to maintain the improvements, and based on the results continuously adjusts the project strategic action plans.
MINING SUPERVISOR
(Assignment: Site Based)

Monitor, control, and supervise the mining production resources to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree (S1) Mining Engineering/Civil Engineering with min. 4 years experiences in mining operations. And or non-bachelor with 6 years experiences in mining operations.
• Demonstrates good knowledge of Mining equipment capabilities and applications
• Willing to work at pit mining area with shift roster (day and night).
• Have strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent team player and good analytical thinking.
• Good command in English, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
• Minimize exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the operation phase of the work packages and implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the HSE (Health Safety and Environment) Management Plan.
• Responsible to implement short term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
• Supervise the performance of mining foremen, operators, technicians and unskilled personnel in the Mining operations in the shift by shift BMP process using short term variance.
• Monitor and control mining production on an hourly basis including loading / unloading point to ensure smooth target achievement (both productivity and utilize unit).
• Identify the development and training needs of the mining foremen, operators, technicians and unskilled personnel in the mining operations.
• Coordinate and supervise Mining production and other mining team meetings.
• Assist Mining Superintendent in liaise and co-ordinate with maintenance department to optimize and maximize mining equipment availability and utilization.
• Provide shift report and conduct effective hand over meeting to ensure continuation of operational target achievement.
MINING FOREMAN (OB & COAL)
(Assignment: Site Based)

Provides first level of supervision over a several mining sections of the mining production resources at the mine projects to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Requirements:
• Min High School Graduate.
• Min 3 years experience as Mining Foreeman for High Scholl graduate and 1 year as Mining Foreman for Mining Engineer graduate.
• Good Command in English.
• May be required to work flexible hours to meet project requirement.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible to implement short term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
• Supervise the performance of operators, technicians. Lead hands and unskilled personnel in the Mining operations in the shift by shift BMP process using short term variance.
• Monitor and control mining production and productivity on an hourly basis including loading / unloading point to ensure smooth day to day operations.
• Ensure a good communication and relationship with Client representative at Pit area.
• Responsible to mine execution plans and necessary production and safety targets, understand the daily, weekly and monthly plans and targets, make sure clear understanding from subordinates.
• Communicate with workshop in regards to repairing downed equipment and assistance in a timely manner to ensure scheduled PM equipment is given to Maintenance team on time.
• Ensure strong disciplinary procedures are enforced and followed consistently, assist to manage the crew manpower and make sure the right people are in the right places doing the right things.
• Monitor dewatering activities, Pit Services and day works, these are 3 primary focus areas in and outside of the Pit, ensure these are monitored at all times.
• Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages and Implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan.
MINING FOREMAN (PIT SERVICES)
(Assignment: Site Based)

Provides first level of supervision over a several mining sections of the mining production resources at the mine projects to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Requirements:
• Min High School Graduate.

Requirements:
• Fluent in English, written and verbal
• Min bachelor degree in a Mining Engineering
• Min one year experience in mining industry
• Demonstrates good knowledge of Mining equipment capabilities and applications
• Experience with drill/blast and dewatering activities an advantage
• Well-developed computer skills, including their application to Mine Engineering and Reporting
• Good knowledge of best practices in Project Management
• Good analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail.
• Fluency in English an advantage. Must display a willingness to develop proficiency, both oral and written
• Willing to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements
• Willing to be placed in all company site offices.
Responsibilities:
1. Identifying hazards and risks during the operation phase of the work packages and implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan.
2. Implement short term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
3. Supervise the performance of mining foremen, operators, technicians and unskilled personnel in the Mining operations in the shift by shift BMP process using short term variance.
4. Identify the development and training needs of the mining foremen, operators, technicians and unskilled personnel in the mining operations for the benefit of the Project Manager.
5. Coordinate and supervise Mining production and other mining team meetings.
6. Assist Mining Superintendent in liaise and co-ordinate with maintenance department to optimize and maximize mining equipment availability and utilization.
7. Control production on an hour by hour basis and prepare timely and accurate report on project progress as required by the project.
