We are currently taking applicants for the following position, for our new coal mining project:
PROJECT MANAGER MINING
(Assignment: Site Based)
Plan, direct and control a project from the date of award to the issue of a practical completion certificate and ideally be involved until end of the maintenance period to ensure a project is running well, completed on time and to budget in accordance with all the company standard procedures and to the total satisfaction of the clients.
Requirements:
• Willing to work extended hours to meet the deadline
• Min. 12 years previous experiences in Mining
• Min. Bachelor Degree, preferably in Mining
• Comprehensive knowledge of and mining management principles and practices and the associated flow of design and mining project management
• Ability to recognize potential claims and manage project contract activities to avoid costly claims and litigation
• Ability to supervise and evaluate the work of subordinates
• Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written
• Ability to develop and maintain effective monitoring and control systems and carry them to the intended conclusions to meet Agency goals for the program.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and control the flow of work for a mining project, including estimating time, supplies and personnel required for completing the project to ensure that projects are being carried out according to established plan.
• Direct, control and execute the Project by conducting a kick off meeting with the Project Team, assign duties and responsibilities as detailed in the functional matrix in order to ensure project initial are well manage.
• Direct, review and analyse client specifications and documents to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated into the works and the responsibilities allocated under the project quality system are understood and implemented.
• Prepare, control and implement project budets, mining schedules, project reporting, progress assessment and project execution plan, take personal responsibility and accountability for cash flow, receivables and return on capital of the project to ensure budget are meet with operational needs and requirements.
• Interface and coordinate subcontract activities to ensure that they will support the achievement of project aims and the support of company objectives.
• Direct, monitor and utilize company’s equipment efficiently, maintain schedule compliance on planned maintenance and reduce cost as appropriate in order to optimize asset utilization.
• Direct, submit and negotiate claims to settlement as required to ensure that progress claims are submitted and paid in a timely manner.
• Plan, analyse and establish detailed cost forecasts, manage variations in order to close out to maximise returns in a timely manner.
• Direct, control and manage all statutory permits and approvals as required to proceed with the contract to ensure all permits and formalities are complete and valid.
• Establish to maintain and manage all stakeholders interests to ensure harmonious and cooperative relationships in industrial relations, community relations and staff welfare in all aspects of the project.
• Maintain and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER MINING
(Assignment: Site Based)
Proactively support the Project Manager to plan, direct and control the Project to ensure all Project related activities are conducted SAFELY, to the required Petrosea standards, on time and ahead of budget, whilst fostering an atmosphere of Zero Incidents and Continuous Improvement to promote the ongoing success of Petrosea.
Requirements:
• Possess the potential to develop into a PTP Mine Project Manager.
• Min. Bachelor degree in mining or sufficient experience to provide the necessary expertise.
• Holder of POM (minimum) / POU (preferred).
• Min. 10 years previous experiences in supervising mining operations (production) and a demonstrable understanding of sound mining practices and mining equipment.
• Min. 5 years experiences in managerial position on a mining project.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia & English, both written and verbal.
• Good computer skills, familiar with mining and mine planning software.
• Good communication and strong leadership skills.
• Ability to understand and protect PTP’s commercial interests.
• Good understanding of Mine infrastructure requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
• Foster a culture of Zero Incidents & BBS (Behavior Based Safety) program and responsible for all safety aspects within the mining areas of the Project.
• Direct responsibility for Engineering and Production operations on the Project. DPM shall direct and control all Engineering, Mine Planning, and Production functions on Site to optimise productivity, utilisation, and production.
• Ensure operations are well managed and adhere to the principles of productivity & cost effectiveness to beat the project budget.
• Preparation and implementation of Project Budgets and Forecasts in conjunction with the PM.
• Support the PM in the implementation and recording of Strategic Initiatives & foster a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Actively support the PM in the control and management of the Workforce, including training and other employee productivity program.
• Assist PM to establish, maintain and manage all stakeholders interests to ensure harmonious and cooperative relationships in industrial relations and community relations in all aspects of the project.
• Manage the preparation of Claims, Variations, Monthly Reports & documentation related to disputes with Client / Suppliers and ensure all processes are done in a timely manner.
• Support PM as required in any negotiations with Client / Suppliers and ensure all operations are comply to contract.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontract activities to ensure that they will support the achievement of Project aims and the support of Project objectives.
• Manage all statutory permits and approvals as required to proceed with the Project and ensure all permits and formalities are complete and valid in coordination with Client.
• Support PM with the mobilisation & establishment of the Project, including any fleet and infrastructure expansion that may be required during the Project (including the buildup of personnel in accordance with approved organisation charts) and ensure project start-up as per plan.
MINING SUPERINTENDENT
(Assignment: Site Based)
Monitor and control mining operation in term of support mining project manager to ensure production is achieved in accordance with BMP (Business Mining Petrosea), project parameters, project schedule, budget, in compliance with company’s project safety and environmental policy.
Requirements:
• Min. Bachelor degree in mining
• Min. 8 years previous experiences in mining operation (production)
• Fluent in English, written and verbal
• Familiar with mining software
• Good communication and leadership skill
• Willing to be placed in all company location
• Excellent computer skill
Responsibilities:
• Lead and monitor mining operations staff on their day to day mining operation, monitor and control mining equipment usage to ensure the safest and efficient mining operations in order to achieve production targets and schedule in line with the mine plan.
• Develop and monitor weekly, monthly and shutdown schedules for inclusion in the BMP plans by the Senior Mining Engineer.
• Support and monitor the implementation of long term mine plans and short term detailed mine execution plans at all levels using the BMP process, provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis in order to enable short term control achieving the long term mine plan.
• Prepare timely and accurate information on project progress for inclusion in progress claims and reports prepared by the Senior Mining Engineer.
• Maintain communication and coordination between Mining operations and Maintenance in order to maximize availability and utilization of all mining equipment.
• Lead, coach and manage subordinate including recruitment and provide a proper development and succession plan for them, Promote and develop an open ethical work environment in order to maintain subordinate in attract, motive and retain.
• Responsible in controlling mine production in site.
• Coordination with maintenance department to manage and coordinate equipment in site.
• Maintain and implementing HSE programs by minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks from the planning phase of the work packages and during daily operational to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
MINE ENGINEERING SUPERINTENDENT
(Assignment: Site Based)
Control, monitor and supervise Business Mining Process by variance in the Project mining operations to ensure production is achieved in accordance with Project parameters, project schedule and budget and in compliance with Petrosea and project safety and environmental policy and guidelines.
Requirements:
• Min bachelor degree in Mining Engineering.
• Min 6 (six) years experience as a Mining Engineer.
• Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesian and English.
• Good computer skill in Microsoft environment (Office) and other related application, such as mine planning and scheduling softwares.
• Outstanding leadership skills.
• May be required to assist at project sites.
• May be required to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and direction to all mining engineering staff to ensure the safest and efficient mining operations to achieve production targets.
• Work with Senior Mining Engineer to develop weekly, monthly and shutdown schedules for inclusion in the BMP plans by the Senior Mining Engineer.
• Assist with the implementation of the BMP system through leadership of technical assistants, production of accurate and timely reports, and troubleshooting problems encountered with the system.
• Responsible to implement long term mine plans and short term detailed mine execution plans at all levels using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
• Assist the superior to develop and update mine plans and production schedules in accordance with project criteria.
• Implement and manage the mining operations in accordance with the mine plan to achieve production schedules.
• Organise, coordinate and manage production meetings internally and with the Client and arrange for distribution of minutes.
• Responsible for the optimization and utilization of mining equipment by the Mining Supervisor to achieve production targets.
• Ensure smooth coordination between Mining operations and Maintenance to maximize availability and utilization of all mining equipment.
• Monitor and manage the performance of all mining engineering staff.
• Assist the Project Manager in the training and mentoring of personnel as required by the Company.
• Assist the Project manager in promoting the development of teamwork.
• Implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan.
SENIOR MINING ENGINEER
(Assignment: Site Based)
Lead Mine Planning Engineer and resources to produce mine plans & schedules based on breakdown planning from Mine Planning Head Office Team and ensure all processes and implementation based on Plan, complete with relevant system and procedures that support the mining operations to achieve Project objectives within budgetary and contractual constraints.
Requirements:
• Min. Bachelor degree in a mining related Engineering discipline,
• Min. 4 years experiences in mining industry, including at least 2 years in Mine Planning,
• Demonstrates good knowledge of Mining equipment capabilities and applications,
• Experience with drill/blast and dewatering activities an advantage,
• Well-developed computer skills, including their application to Mine Engineering,
• Ability to use Mine Planning and Scheduling software including practical application to mining operations,
• Good knowledge of best practices in Mining operations,
• Good analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail,
• Fluent in English, written and verbal,
• Willing to work flexible hours to meet position requirements,
• Willing to be placed in any Company location and travel to Project Sites as needed.
• Willing to be placed in all company’s site locations.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and analyse hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages in order to minimise exposure to personnel and the environment; monitor the engineer in identify that processes.
• Evaluate and analyze actual project performance related to mining activity cost and fuel cost in order to ensure project profit and loss achievement.
• Prepare detailed 3WRP (three week rolling plan) referred to monthly plan and 3MRP (three months rolling plan).
• Review Client plans and requests to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated in the works and the responsibilities allocated under the Project quality system are understood and implemented.
• Proactively identify variations to the Contract and cooperate with the Commercial Team to follow through on claiming variations.
• Contribute to the development of the Three Monthly, Monthly and other short term detailed Mine Plans to integrate with the Mining Operations.
• Provide the necessary paraments needed by the Mining operations on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term Mine Plan.
• Closely monitor work practices and output to ensure that the integrity, clarity and thoroughness of the information that is produced by the project Mine Planning function is of a high standard and relevant to the requirements.
• Maintains a strong capability in the mine planning software and ensures that mine engineering staff are similarly up to date with their skills.
• Contribute to the development of long term schedules for integration into shorter term mine plans for
tilisation at Petrosea’s Mining operations (using PTP specified scheduling software).
• Monitor and coordinate engineering activities to ensure efficient production of engineering plans to meet contract program requirements.
• Conduct evaluation and analysis of mine schedules to ensure that they meet Petrosea’s goals.
• Contribute to the budgeting process.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to the Project sites and ensure they are incorporated into Petrosea Management Systems and Procedures.
• Contribute to the compilation of tenders and other cost estimation work by providing mine planning and design support as required by the Estimator.
• Provide technical advice and services to support production activities and reporting.
• Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages and recommending effective engineering solutions.
• Coaching and mentoring of Graduate Mining Engineers and other Engineering related personnel.
MINE ENGINEER REPORTING
(Assignment: Site Based)
Develop, apply and maintain company’s mining reporting system standard to ensure that company’s mining reporting system are systematic and accurate conform with company’s procedures, policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
• Min. Bachelor degree preferably from Mining Engineering
• Min. 3 years previous experiences as a Mining Engineer
• Good Analytical skills and Problem Solving skills
• Attention to details
• Understand Mining Business Process
• Willing to travel to company’s mining sites to provide training
• Must be proficient in Excel, Power Point, Report Preparation and Presentation.
Responsibilities:
• Develop Mining Production Forecast for mining project in oder to provide support for project in determining their target.
• Reviewing daily, weekly and monthly production & cost report, follow up and review with site cost controllers, engineers and project managers for monthly data to ensure report accuration in timely manner and conform with mining standard report.
• Develop and apply reporting system for new project, setup report templates for new and existing projects to ensure the conformation with company’s current standard.
• Establish and customize reports, monthly PMR templates and collate project monthly report to be reviewed by managers.
• Generate and distribute monthly MIS target to ensure that all MIS targets are delivered with accuracy in timely manner.
• Monitor and control SAP Data upload – Posting on time and ensuring the validity of data and provide training to new users.
• Coordination with Project Control Team regarding production and performance unit analysis reports and the problem related data discrepancies.
MINING ENGINEER
(Assignment: Site Based)
Ensure short term mine plan applied in daily mine operations, regarding to Pit & Dump design and sequence targets, and provide quick solutions on any operational problems on daily mine activities, aligned with current mine plan, in order to ensure productivity unit targets achievement.
Requirements:
• Min bachelor degree in Mining Engineering.
• Min 2 (two) years experience in mining industry.
• Familiar with mine planning and scheduling software .
• Good analytical thinking and problem solving skill.v• Good communication and coordination skill.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Willing to work flexible hours to meet project requirements.
• Willing to be placed in all company site offices.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed weekly plan referred to monthly plan and 3MRP (three months rolling plan).
• Ensure short term mine plan applied in daily mine operations, regarding to Pit & Dump design and sequence targets, in order to achieve productivity unit targets.
• Provide quick solutions on any operational problems on daily mine activities, aligned with current mine plan, in order to ensure productivity unit targets achievement.
• Ensure daily meeting and hand over shift are well coordinated regarding to shift and daily plans (fleet position and mine sequence).
• Analyse and identify engineering problems in order to propose solutions and expedite actions regarding the client agreement where necessary, as a mediator to the client.
• Support and cooperate with site survey team in order to analyse progress surveys and haul profile surveys.
• Evaluate and analyse production performance data related to productivity, utilisation, and availability in order to ensure mine planning achievement.
• Coaching and mentoring of graduate mining engineers, mining engineers and technical assistants in order to provide technical support.
• Identify hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages in order to minimise exposure to personnel and the environment.
GEOLOGIST & GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
(Assignment: Site Based)
Provides geological and geo-technical support to mine planning and mining operations that ensure all planning based on an accurate process of reserves and optimization and perform geotechnical assessment, field monitoring, develop and produce standards in geotechnical related activities to ensure safe and environmentally reliable production.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology or Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Min. 2 years experiences in mining or related area.
• Required to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa, both oral and written.
• Willing to be placed in Site Project and travel to others as requested.
Responsibilities:
• Collect, validate and process all necessary geological information to interpolate and define the basic geological model used in mine planning or client negotiations.
• Develop geological database, control variance, and updates model to assist accurate mine planning process.
• Compile weekly and monthly report model and survey variance, analyse and recommend geological aspect for mine sequences and operations.
• work with surveyors to monitor, calculate and control coal recovery measurement in order to develop database and coal mining operational applied to the procedure.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a set of standard operating procedures to ensure that operations understand and operate in accordance with mine planning recovery parameters.
• Review and analyse geotechnical report from client included parameters and design specification and recommend necessary technical advice if required.
• Check and monitor report of slope stability and drain hole to ensure that the slope movement calculation is well identified and recorded properly.
• Develop geotechnical awareness for mine plan engineers and mining operations personnel related to proper process, implementation and safe operations.
• Closely monitor work practices and face locations to ensure that operations are guided through any geological discontinuities or geo-technical complications that may affect mining performance.
• Provide detail plan, report and arrange schedule of geotechnical audit and implementation control with consultant and internal in order to develop geotechnical system applied properly.
• Monitor and review all water management plan and ensure all the parameters related to slope stability identified and provide for early recommendations.
• Maintain a strong capability in the mine planning, geological and geotechnical software.
• Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages.
• Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
